Full Gliding Operations

August 25, 2016

After a long and wet winter and a tug with a broken engine mount, full gliding operations are on again at Woodbury. There was a fair bit of water around in recent months and the ground was still quite wet but with spring just around the corner it should start to dry out quite nicely.

There wasn’t a lot of lift in the morning but things improved during the afternoon with Liam, Richard and Graham taking longer flights and a few wedgetails appearing.

Steven was the tug driver for the day doing a great job as usual and had a lot of practice with his great crosswind landings.

Operations were from the short cross strip into a rather cold 10-15 knot headwind.

Below are some images from the day.
