The Woodbury Airstrip is now officially closed for further gliding operations.
Gliding Tasmania has been active at Woodbury for over 40 years with wonderful support from the Headlam family and we thank them for all they have done for us over the years.
We hope to recommence gliding operations at our new location at Tunbridge Airstrip at the end of this year or early next year.
We are currently packing all our gliders away and have only one more to go. After the aircraft have been disassembled and placed in their respective trailers, we will commence dismantling our existing hanger and ready it for relocation and assembly at the Tunbridge Airfield. At this stage, we anticipate dismantling the hanger in late October or early November.
For anyone who has or is intending on purchasing vouchers for a flight, we will honour those and extend the time limit until the end of 2019 or 12 months after we recommence flying at our new home.
